Request an Appointment-Carotid Artery Disease:
An ultrasound of the carotid arteries (a pair of blood vessels in the neck that deliver blood to your brain) for the buildup of fatty plaque. This plaque, called atherosclerosis, is one of the leading causes of stroke.
Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD):
An Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) test is performed using blood pressure cuffs on the arms and legs. It is important to screen for PAD because it increases the risk of coronary artery disease, heart attack, or stroke.
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA):
An ultrasound of the abdominal aorta (largest artery in the body) for the presence of an enlargement or aneurysm. AAA can rupture spontaneously and is a life-threatening and serious medical emergency.
Electrocardiogram:
An electrocardiogram (ECG) is performed by placing sensors on the arms and legs to screen for any irregular heartbeat called arrhythmia. One of the serious irregular heartbeats is called atrial fibrillation, which can lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related complications.
Echocardiogram;
An echocardiogram is simply an ultrasound of your heart. It is performed by using a probe on your chest. It provides information regarding the structure of the heart, its valves, sizes of chambers within the heart, and how strongly your heart pumps blood.
